A Journey of Trust: Growing Together with Farmers and Piglets

In animal husbandry, trust is not built through contracts—it grows through real-world collaboration, shared experiences, and tangible results. At BiomiXin, we believe in showing, not just telling. That’s why we partnered with a swine farm in Yunlin, Taiwan, to conduct a six-month trial that allows both sides to witness the results, side by side.

The Trial: Comparing Feed Performance in Real Conditions

This field trial involves two groups of nursery piglets:

🐽B1 – Control Group: Fed with the farm’s original feed.

🐽B2 – Trial Group: Fed with BiomiXin's creep feed and nursery feed, formulated with our unique additive that enhances mucosal immunity and supports protein synthesis.

What We Do On-Site:

Our team, including technical staff and veterinarians, regularly visits the farm to collect blood samples for ELISA and PCR testing. We also pay close attention to environmental and animal health conditions using simple but effective sensory checks. By listening to coughing or sneezing and smelling unusual odors, we get a quick read on barn ventilation and hygiene. The feces consistency, coat condition, energy levels, and uniformity of growth are also key points of observation.

All these details help us understand how our feed impacts not just weight gain, but also the overall well-being and stability of the herd.

Early Results (Up to 8 Weeks Old)

B1: Control Group B2: Trial Group
Appeared with rough hair coat; some piglets show facial or limb swelling. Smooth, glossy hair coat; piglets appear lively and alert.
Lower activity; some piglets appear lethargic or breathing rapidly. Active with stable temperament; few abnormal cases.
Notable size variation; back pens contain more undersized individuals. Body size is consistent across the pen; even development from front to back.
More loose or unformed feces (score 4–5); signs of digestive imbalance. Mostly well-formed feces (score 3); indicate healthy digestion and absorption.
Some signs of feed playing; possibly due to poor palatability. Good feed acceptance, no feed playing behavior observed.
Approx. 20% culling, mainly due to weakness and PRRS-related symptoms. No abnormal mortality reported at this stage.

Beyond Products: Understanding Farmers’ Needs

We’ve learned that farmers care about more than just numbers. They want consistency, ease of management, and peace of mind knowing their pigs are growing strong. By offering this kind of long-term, transparent trial—along with blood analysis services—we help bridge the gap between product performance and real-world decision-making.

This trial is just one example of how we work with producers to make sure our solutions bring real, measurable improvements.

This journey has just begun. We’ll continue sharing our findings along the way. More importantly, we’ll keep listening, learning, and growing together with the farmers who put their trust in us.
