BiomiXin proudly launched its inaugural seminar overseas in GenSan on February 27, 2024. The event was a thrilling milestone, attracting 140 attendees from diverse backgrounds including shrimp farms, feed millers, and renowned distributors. The success of the seminar was greatly facilitated by the invaluable support of the Sargen Shrimp Stakeholders' Association, whose efforts were instrumental in promoting the event. Special thanks also go to Joseph Sevilla, our country manager in the Philippines, whose meticulous coordination and arrangements contributed significantly to the event's success. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to exchange insights on aquaculture across different regions.
During the seminar, Barry Cheng, Deputy Manager of BiomiXin's Aquaculture Department, delivered a comprehensive presentation on Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP), a widespread disease known to damage the hepatopancreas and compromise immunity, ultimately leading to uneven shrimp sizes and reduced yields. Barry elaborated on diagnostic methods and appropriate treatment strategies to combat EHP. Damon Hsiao, our Feed Additive Manager, then emphasized the critical role of feed formulation. He highlighted how optimizing feed formulas can significantly enhance feed efficiency and reduce costs for farmers. Finally, we were honored to have a highly experienced shrimp farmer from Taiwan share insights into best practices and cold-chain management, which promises to elevate industry standards.
It was inspiring to witness active engagement from attendees, who eagerly took notes and posed insightful questions. Through the exchange of feeding experiences and knowledge, we believe the entire industry can progress towards a more sustainable farming environment. We eagerly anticipate organizing more seminars in various regions, fostering mutual growth and advancement within the industry!
